Happy Mother's Day- DIY Plastic Vase
The above picture on the left is me holding a bottle of F&N Sparkling Drink (500ml) and on the right is me holding a vase with Carnations flowers for my mum for Mother's Day.
Well have you noticed?
The vase is actually made using the F&N plastic bottle! It's unbelievable right!
Since Mother's Day (09-05-2010) is around the corner and I would like to take this opportunity to share with you all this wonderful DIY gift idea you can make with F&N plastic bottles as they are most suitable for making this vase!
It's easy to make and eco-friendly!
Surprise her this coming Mother's Day!
Just follow the below steps to make one:
Mark and cut the bottle to give an even edge horizontally (See the red marked line on the picture). Slightly above where the label are.
Measure and make straight, evenly spaced cuts all the way around the bottle.
Cut the segments in half, quarter and then cut each of those in half to make even, thin strips.
Carefully press and fold all the strips outward to make a level edge all the way around.
Press the bottle upside down on a flat surface to ensure an even edge.
Then weave the tip of a strip over No.1 and under No.2 & No.3.
Fold and crease it.
Continue around in this pattern until the last three and tuck each one under the next until woven in completely.
Ok the vase is completed!
This creation looks like a delicate glass or crystal vase right?
It is unbreakable and can still be recycled later if desired!
Since it is Mother's Day, so I chose Carnations flowers for my mum!
I did learned a bit of flower arranging from my friend before doing this!
It was fun! You should try it!
Ok trim the access stem away...
Then tie the stems with a rubber band before inserting it into the sponge.
Ok done!
It is all ready to give it to your mum now! Yeah!
I chose this F&N bottle to make this vase because of 3 reasons!
1) I love the F&N Outrageous Orange drink!
2) The F&N bottles are nicely designed and very suitable for such vase making.

F&N Drinks On My Shopping List
Today while I was working, my friend gave me a call and asked me to buy some additional stuffs for tonight's party. So I noted down what I have to buy on this piece of paper.
After work, I rushed to the supermarket nearby and had a basket to carry the things I needed to buy. I just love shopping so much!
I got 4 packets of potatoes chips, some plastic cups and 2 bottles of 1.5litres F&N Sparkling Drinks.
WAIT A MOMENT...
Ya I should buy 3 bottles instead!!! Because....

Yes they are the Singapore Dance Delight Vol.1 Finalist, Look Behind!
Look Behind is formed by a group of young guys and girls who had great passion in dancing.

They are happy, energentic and had great bonding with one another in the team.
(I'm kind of jealous of them having fun already...)

Star Awards was held at the Resorts World Sentosa on 25 April 2010 (Sunday).
One of the oversea guest, Li Jing was invited and she really brought entertainment to the show.
She was hugging Mark Chao (Actor of Monga) like mad, eating his "Tofu" and she actually encouraged all the female artistes who were on stage to also hug him and eat his "Tofu". (very funny)

Wu Jiahui and Serene Koong appearing as guest performers at *Scape - Singapore Dance Delight Vol.1 Finals.
They sang the song "Lala" together and I think this song is really suitable for F&N!
Like what Serene mentioned in her blog- This song is about spreading the joy and the bright side of life, cheers, happiness, being vibrant and spontaneous and celebrating our lives and the lives of people around us.

Sorry to keep you guys waiting for the video of SDD Vol.1 Finals... Actually I took many videos that night, but was having difficulty uploading all the videos up to Youtube.
In the end I decided to cut those video and form up into one video like this for you all to view.

Joyce & the Boys had showed what they had to win the inaugural Singapore DanceDelight Vol. 1 contest, presentedby F&N (Fraser & Neave), on Sunday.
Their amazing choreography and fusion of various street-dancestyles clinched the trophy for them. The 1 girl & 7 guys crew will travel to Osaka, Japan, in August to represent Singapore in Japan Dance delight Vol.17.
I personally voted for them in stomp.sg and wishing them all the best in the Japan competition!
