GUINNESS® SINGAPORE JOINS MORE THAN 55 COUNTRIES TO CELEBRATE THIS YEAR’S ARTHUR’S DAY™A concert at The MAX Pavilion featuring renowned regional artistes will be held as part of the global music event inspired by the legacy of Arthur Guinness

GUINNESS® unveiled plans for its first Arthur’s Day™ celebration in Singapore, with a Guinness Arthur’s Day Concert to be held as the highlight event on 28th September 2012 at The MAX Pavilion, Singapore EXPO. Celebrated globally for the fourth year, Arthur’s Day is an annual music event which celebrates those who, like GUINNESS founder Arthur Guinness, are distinctive, bold and epitomise the concept “Made of More”. It is also a celebration of Arthur Guinness’ legacy and the much loved GUINNESS brand.

The Arthur’s Day celebrations was first organised in 2009 to coincide with the 250thanniversary of the signing of the original lease at St. James’s Gate in Dublin, Ireland. Set to be the biggest Arthur’s Day yet, this year’s edition will take place in over 55 countries, kicking off on 27th September through to 28th September. This year, it is estimated that more than 1.5 million GUINNESS fans and music lovers will participate in Arthur’s Day globally, at a series of music events featuring acts ranging from high-profile international artists, to emerging local talent.
GUINNESS fans in Singapore will be treated to an evening of live music spanning over five hours from some of the region’s renowned Mando-pop rock stars and, of course, a pint of the black stuff during the event. The artistes that will headline the Guinness Arthur’s Day Concert include:

 China’s Della Ding Dang ()
 Malaysia’s Gary Chaw (曹格)
Paul Wong (黄贯中) from Hong Kong
Shin (信) from Taiwan
“The Guinness Arthur’s Day Concert will be the brand’s largest music event in Singapore and it will serve as a new platform for us to engage with our consumers over a night of quality live performances by regional music stars. We are thrilled to be bringing a worldwide celebration made of more to Singapore and we look forward to having fans join us to toast to Arthur Guinness this Arthur’s Day!” said Mr. Rene de Monchy, Head of Marketing, Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore.
