How to minimise my enlarged pores?

Acne was my biggest nightmare during my secondary school days. On some days when I woke up, I just do not feel like going to the school with my bad acne on my face (especially when I have them on my nose or above my lips). I felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed about my skin condition. 

When I was asked to join in to take photo, I tend to avoid them. I have trouble looking others in the eye, while others completely avoid all social situations. If you felt the same, you are totally not alone.

Now as I grew older, the acne may be gone but leaving behind on my face are the scars and enlarged pores causes by the acne. Sometime when people commented about my “mo-peng” (Hokkien dialect for having a pockmarked face) face, I will feel so sad.

What is Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatment?

How is the procedure like?

I like it as there is no downtime. There is an invisible laser beam which is directed at my face, heating up the deeper layers of the dermis to stimulate collagen production. The Tribeam laser offers a very comfortable treatment and the sensation can be described as a “tingling” feeling.

How long is the treatment session?

One session usually take approximately 45 minutes as there are other treatments involved along with Tribeam such as Cool touch, Shaplight and microderm/ chemical peel depending on the individual skin type. Some patients will experience mild to moderate redness on your face and don't worry as it is normal. But the redness usually fades within an hour after treatment. For the ladies, you can still put on your makeup immediately and resume their daily activities. For me, I don't use any make up and I still continue to go for my work.

How do I feel about the treatment?

I only experience minimal discomfort and the treatment is safe. Doctor Ng Hong Yi is very professional and experienced.

What are the after-care for such treatment?

Doctor advised me to stay away the sun for 1 to 2 weeks after my laser treatment. Yes, do apply sun block everyday.

After treatment, my skin is slightly red but it is not pain at all.

This was taken on the same day 10 minutes after the treatment. 

I feel my skin looking good and I feel so much confident! I will definitely visit the clinic again for another session to have better result.
