Movie Review: The Magnificent Seven

With the town of Rose Creek under the deadly control of industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard), the desperate townspeople employ protection from seven outlaws, bounty hunters, gamblers and hired guns – Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington), Josh Farraday (Chris Pratt), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Jack Horne (Vincent D’Onofrio), Billy Rocks (Byung-Hun Lee), Vasquez (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), and Red Harvest (Martin Sensmeier). As they prepare the town for the violent showdown that they know is coming, these seven mercenaries find themselves fighting for more than money.

The movie opens in Singapore cinemas and IMAX on September 22.

My review:
Guns, sheds, horses and badass-es. That pretty much sums up The Magnificent Seven. Set back in the early 1800s, the group was formed by an Officer, Denzel Washington, with a bunch of wanted criminal around the city. These people had a track record of having a weird sense of character and fantastic aim. Each with a different skill of killing * shooting, bow and arrow and even knife * it was interesting to see how each character develops and set a special place in your heart. I love the fact that there's an Asian rep in the team of 7! #asiarep. Plot wise, its a simple plot that's easy to digest. Nothing more to it than a group of 7 guys protecting a little town that's been overtaken by the rich.

I shan't spoil the plot for you but if I were to rate the movie, it'll be 3/5.
Why 3? Well, if there was a twist to it and/or clear back story of the magnificent 7 crew would be way better but hey, watch for Chris Pratt. #damnhotandfun
