Kohler and the Arts Exhibition


The Singapore Art Scene is delighted to have Kohler Co. launched their ‘Kohler and the Arts’ exhibition.  A global leader in kitchen and bath products manufacturer  with artistic roots way back as early as in 1929 where Kohler products were selected to become part of the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.






There are three sections, showcasing different aspects of art within the company. Kohler Bold, Art, a sculpture exhibition with the theme ‘Asian Contemporary Art: Rooted in the Past, Looking into the future’ featuring the works of six Southeast Asian artists from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia.



The second section of the exhibition  features Arts/Industry, which the company launched a program artists-in-residence in 1974 in USA.  Until now, more than 500 local and international artists have participated in this program.








The final section of the exhibition exhibited a selection of Kohler’ Artist Editions products.
The exhibition was launched on 10 September 2015 by Ms. Angel Yang, VP & General Manager, Kohler Kitchen & Bath Group, South-East Asia $ Australasia with James Seet, the Malaysian artist featured in Kohler Bold Art  and together with 80 guests from the architectural, interior design and media community.

Waking up to ocean view is no longer a dream when you stay in  Hotel Nikko Bali’s Oceanfront Suite . 1) During your entire time of Mr World Singapore 2022 from the time you auditioned till you won the title, tell us - what was the most overwhelming moment for you? To be honest, it was when i saw my friend Stanley give the most touching proposal on coronation night. It really made me tear up seeing how emotional he got while on his knee 2) What was the prep process like? The prep process was pretty vigorous nearing towards the end, as there were many events to go for and practices to attend. Though vigorous, I felt that they were all enjoyable with the class of 2022 around. 3) Are there any nervous moments and stress factors during the competition and how did you deal with it? Yes definitely, Im always nervous whenever there is a Q&A segment as im afraid I’ll freeze up on stage or not be able to give a satisfactory answer.
