12 Attractions to Visit at Jewel Changi Singapore

Come next month (April 2019) will be an exciting month! 

Because Jewel Changi Airport is opening and Changi Airport will no longer be a place just for you to catch your flights or hoover up duty-free stuff. 


Designed by world renowned architect Moshe Safdie, Jewel will feature a distinctive dome-shaped facade made of glass and steel, making it an iconic landmark in the airport’s landscape. The complex covers a total gross floor area of 134,000 m, spanning 10 storeys – five storeys above-ground and five basement storeys. 

It is sited next to Terminal 1 (T1) and linked to T2 and T3 via air-conditioned linkways fitted with travelators. Visitors can look forward to world class experience that includes gardens, attractions, a hotel, aviation facilities and 300 retail and dining facilities. 

Here are a list of attractions to get you excited:

1) EXPLORE SHISEIDO FOREST VALLEY




Explore idyllic landscapes bathed in natural sunlight, with a spectacular waterfall at the core. You'll discover intriguing plants from all around the world, with over 2,000 trees and 100,000 shrubs in this verdant indoor garden.

Take a gentle hike up through the Shiseido Forest Valley to Canopy Park on Jewel's topmost level. The eastern trail leads you past rocky falls, while mists enhance your trek through the western trail. Admire the wide vistas across the Shiseido Forest Valley and find enchantment at every turn.

2) RELAX AND ENJOY THE SHOW AT RAIN VORTEX 



SPECTACULAR BY DAY: Flowing 40 metres down to the basement, the mighty cascade will mesmerise you as the sunlight catches the spray.



STUNNING BY NIGHT: When the sky outside darkens, the continuous pour of the Rain Vortex takes on a mystic splendour. Come nightfall, the sheet of water becomes a screen on which a light-and-sound show is projected. Relax at one of the many vantage points surrounding it and enjoy the show.

1) During your entire time of Mr World Singapore 2022 from the time you auditioned till you won the title, tell us - what was the most overwhelming moment for you? To be honest, it was when i saw my friend Stanley give the most touching proposal on coronation night. It really made me tear up seeing how emotional he got while on his knee 2) What was the prep process like? The prep process was pretty vigorous nearing towards the end, as there were many events to go for and practices to attend. Though vigorous, I felt that they were all enjoyable with the class of 2022 around. 3) Are there any nervous moments and stress factors during the competition and how did you deal with it? Yes definitely, Im always nervous whenever there is a Q&A segment as im afraid I’ll freeze up on stage or not be able to give a satisfactory answer.
