Movie Review: The Golden Era (2014)
The Golden Era is an upcoming Chinese drama film directed by Ann Hui , starring Tang Wei and Feng Shaofeng. Tang portrays Xiao Hong, while Feng plays Xiao Jun; both are two of the most important writers in 20th century China.

Review:
The Golden Era (Huangjin shidai) is a 3 hours movie and it show the eventful life of female Chinese novelist, poet and essayist Xiao Hong, who died in 1942, at age 32. The actors in the movie were very good and I almost forget they are acting. I was touched by the movie.
Streaming channels would likely kill the DVD market, as they had a more massive selection that includes lots of newer films. With high speed internet, it is somewhat inevitable.
