Movie Crazy!!!

Wah.... I watched altogether 3 movies within 5 days!

1) Forbidden Kingdom- I watched during the last Sunday after work with Kiehl's Gang (Gary, Sarah and Edwin) at The Cathay.

Movie Plot:
An American teenager obsessed with martial arts makes an exciting discovery in a pawnshop in Chinatown.
It appears to be the legendary stick weapon of the Monkey King, the infamous Chinese sage and warrior.
He is transported back into time to Ancient China where he meets a band of martial arts warriors and joins them on their journey to save an imprisoned Monkey King (Jet Li).

Comment/Rating:

When I knew of this movie staring Jet Li and Jackie Chan, two of the greatest martial artists, I was really exicited to watch this movie.
After watching this western comblined with chinese touch movie, I still prefer it more chinese way. Just find it weird that chinese dressing people talking English in the movie.

Can you imagine Monkey King acted by Jet Li talking in English in the movie? But overall I give this movie 7 over 10 for the effects and because of this 2 superstar Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

Oh ya forgot to mention because of this pretty lady- Liu Yi Fei who acted as a village girl nicknamed Golden Sparrow. She is really very beautiful!

2) Superhero Movie - I watched with Ah Moon on Wednesday. The rest (Dennis, Yuanling, Sharon and He Jia) all watching Forbidden Kingdom and we both already seen that already thus watching other movie.

Movie Plot:
After being bitten by a genetically altered dragonfly, high school loser Rick Riker develops superhuman abilities like incredible strength and armoured skin.
Rick decides to use his new powers for good and becomes a costumed crime fighter known as The Dragonfly. However, standing in the way of his destiny is the villainous Lou Landers.
After an experiment gone wrong, Lou develops the power to steal a person's life force and in a dastardly quest for immortality, becomes the super-villain, The Hourglass.
With unimaginable strength, unbelievable speed and deeply uncomfortable tights, will the Dragonfly be able to stop the sands of The Hourglass and save the world? More importantly, will we stop laughing long enough to notice?
Comment/Rating:
Throughout the whole show was too much lame scene that I can't stop laughing. Well maybe the show was too extremely lame that I can't take it. I will give this movie a 5 over 10. Can you imagine some beautiful touching moment just spoilt by some stupid lame thing... Maybe I still prefer romance movie ba... Haha...
3) Dance of the Dragon - I watched with Tommy yesterday(Thurday). I watched it free!!! Haha!!! Surprise? He treated me? Nah... He actually won this in Ebay and asked me to watch with him.

Movie Plot:

Jason Scott Lee (Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story), Korean heartthrob Jang Hyuk (Windstruck, Volcano High), and Singapore's A-list artiste Fann Wong (Shanghai Knights, Just Follow Law) star in Dance of the Dragon, a modern day tale of love, passion, courage and hope, with the demanding and visually stunning disciplines of ballroom dancing and martial arts woven into the plot.
Asian-American Hollywood actor Jason Scott Lee plays the role of Cheng, a former martial arts champion. His relationship with Emi (played by Singapore's top actress Fann Wong) is threatened by the arrival of Tae whom Emi mentors in dance. Soon, student and mentor appear to develop feelings for each other, leading to a showdown that will resolve the passionate love triangle.
Korean sensation Jung Hyuk plays Tae in his first-ever English-speaking role. Veteran Singaporean thespian Lim Kay Tong (Perth, City Sharks) rounds up the stellar leading cast playing the role of Li Bao, an underworld character.
Dance and martial arts are pivotal to the films storyline. Ballroom dancing is Taes lifelong dream and through Emi, he can develop this craft. Tae must also face in a martial arts challenge with the loser leaving Singapore - and Emi.
Comment/Rating:
I will rate this 7 over 10 as this movie is flimed in Singapore and for the famous Korean actor, Jung Hyuk in the movie and Fann Wong for her dancing in the movie. I love the movie Windstruck which Jung Hyuk acted too.
This movie I just find it a waste... It was close to perfect... If I not wrong, there was no kissing scene between the Korean actor,Jung Hyuk and our Ah Jie Fann Wong. They have something close to kissing but not. Abit disppointed for that...
And it's a rare or first time you see a Korean actor come to Singapore and act with our Singapore Ah jie, Fann Wong together in a movie.
Hopefully there will be more of such opportunities to see such work again.
