Woke up pretty early that morning, went for breakfast at the Fraser Place Central Seoul Hotel before heading to Nami Island.

This is how the inside of the train looked like.

Alright.. Maybe you find this silly... GWIYOMI POSE!!!
But just doing it out of FUN cause I am super excited to go Nami Island!

Took photo with some of the friendly Korean Girls at the station.

Some station, you are expected to climb stairs like this...

An old lady selling foldable hat in the train. Interesting right?
Shannon bought purple hat for his mum.

Finally reached Nami Island Dock!

Have you been to Nami Island?
The island was formed as a result of the construction of the Cheongpyeong Dam. It is a half moon shaped (462,809㎡) isle, and on it is the grave of General Nami, who led a great victory against the rebels in the 13th year of the 7th king of the Joseon Dynasty, King Sejo (reign 1455 ~ 1468).

Namiseom Island is very near to Seoul, just 63 km away from Seoul in the direction of Chuncheon. The island is 30 minutes away from Chuncheon and an hour away from suburbs of Seoul. This beautiful place is great for couples and families.

Do you remember the Korean Drama- Winter Sonata?
Yes! The beautiful tree lined road you see in the drama is at Nami Island!

In the middle of the isle, there is a grass field about 316,450 square yards. It is composed of education and training facilities, camping sites, swimming pools and water-sports facilities for motorboats and water skiing. There is also a theme park with merry-go-rounds, a shooting range, roller skating rink, and there are lodging facilities such as resort villas and bungalows.

How we got there:
Seodaemun Station (Macheon bound) à Transfer at Wangsimni (Jungang Line, Deokso bound) à Transfer at Mangu (Chuncheon bound) à Gapyeong (Gyeongchun Line). Take a taxi about 2800won from Gapyeong.

Namiseom Zip Wire is an eco-friendly leisure facility established by Gapyeong County Office in partnership with Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and Namiseom Inc.

(Picture grabbed from http://www.ziprider.com/rides/nami-island/)
Biggest zipline facilities in Asia! Riders start from an 80 meter-high tower and zoom down along a wire cable to Jaraseom (640m away) and Namiseom / Nami Island (940m away). It's  38.000 won (include Nami Island entrance fee).

Reaching the shore of Nami Island!!!!

Watering the plant I suppose....

The filming location for Winter Sonata!

I found a Singapore banner there!!!

Woo... A big fat Ostrish Bird!

I love flowers!!! So nice on the tree!

Beautiful pink flowers.

Lot of photo taking opportunities at Nami Island. There’s a lot of places to explore on Nami Island. There are many tree lanes as you walk around the island: Central Korean Pine Tree Lane, Cornel Tree Lane, Metasequoia Lane, Cherry Tree Lane, White Birch Lane, Tulip Tree Lane, Reed Woods Lane, and my favorite on autumn, The “Yellow” Ginkgo Tree Line. There’s also The Lane of True Love :) The island is divided into three villages: Love Village, Happiness Village, and Dream Village.

The island is really big and will be good to send one day to explore the place slowly.
For more information about this island you can visit  www.naminara.com.

Next stop- Petite France!!!

Petite France
1063, Hoban-ro, Cheongpyeong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun,
Gyeonggi-do 경기도 가평군 청평면 호반로 1063

If you travel along the lakeside road from Cheongpyeong Dam for 10km, in the direction of Namiseom Island, you will come across a cluster of white, exotic buildings on the left-hand hillside.

The village may looked like those you see on the the Mediterranean coast or in a pastoral area of the Piedmont Alps. Petite France is a French cultural village set in the Korean Countryside! Petite France serves as both a French cultural village and a youth training facility (Goseong Youth Training Center), and consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing, and household culture.

How we got there:
We took a cab from Nami Island Dock for about 12500won.

The concept of Petite France encapsulates ‘flowers, stars, and the Little Prince.’

The village can accommodate up to 200 visitors with 34 guest rooms that hold four to ten people each.

This spot seem like a good place for marriage proposal.

Pink angry dragon spotted!

Lifang was randomly picked to go up the stage to participate.
It was really funny and got us all laughing!

The guy was really good at getting the crowd attention.

Took a photo with the professional actor.

The guy who brought lot of fun and laughter to the visitors at Petite France.

Collect stamps all around the village.

10 stamps to collect.

Hand puppet show.

In the village, there is also a  memorial hall dedicated to Saint-Exupery, the author of the celebrated French novel, Le Petit Prince (1943) and as such it is called the Little Prince theme park.

In the village, there is a Orgel House where a 200-year-old music box plays a sweet melody.

Remember to catch this Pinocchio show too!

They looked so alive!

Thanks Lifang for helping me with this photo!

Beside watching the  show, you can also take a look at some of the dolls collection displayed in the showcase.

The handsome Little Prince statue!

Wanna stay in Petite France?
Yes, there are 34 guest rooms that are able to hold four to ten people each.

The Baobab Tree

There is also a gift shop for visitors to buy souvenirs.

Having some food and drinks.

That was one big piece of Potatoes Wedges right?

Visit Petite France today!!!! So beautiful!!! =)

Dinner we went to Shindang-dong Mabokrim Grandma Tteokbokki.
292-114 Sindang-dong (24 hours)

This place is also the filming location of "We Got Married, Yongseo couple".
When we were there the restaurant was already very packed. And lot of their local people also eat there. You can tell how good the food must be right.

How to get there:
We took taxi to Cheongpyeong Station (Gyeongchun Line, Sangbong bound) à Transfer at Mangu (Jungang Line, Yongsan bound) à Transfer at Wangsimni (Line 2, Seongsu CCW bound) à Sindang (Line2,6)

Tteokbokki is a popular Korean snack food which is commonly sold at street vendors. Sindang-dong in Seoul is where Tteokbokki was first sold and is became so popular and famous.

You may find ingredient like rice cake, fish cake, noodles, dumplings, egg.
We had the one for 3 pax at only 14000won.
And we are quite full after eating it.
Worth it! Go try!!!
