Cafehopping to Monochrome Fushion Bistro Cafe

Cafe hop hop! This time hop to which new cafe?
Why not hop to Monochrome Fushion Bistro cafe! It is located at 291 South Bridge Road, Singapore 058836 (Chinatown area).

Early this February 2015, Monochrome Fusion Bistro opened its doors to customers looking for a place to unwind amidst the hustle and bustle or for those looking for an alternative dining experience.

With the love for food, design and travel, three friends came together and brought forth their first child Monochrome Fusion Bistro. Having met in the real estate industry, they soon found similar interests and decided to transform their creativity into a business. The aim was to create a brand that is unique and sure to resound well with the working crowd – their main target audience.

“Our eventual goal is to create a place for the diners who are more adventurous in their gastronomic
journey and who are looking for a place to unwind after a hard day at work. We also want to attract
people who appreciative of good design and good food to Monochrome”, said co-founder Ivan Seow.

Less is more is the main mantra of the owners and you can see this in the minimalist design of the
bistro- mainly in black and white. They believe that these two colours go perfectly well together and
is timeless and classic.

The black and white theme also reflects the Yin & Yang essence of the business striking a balance of the Western and Asian influence in their dishes, and also hoping for diners to find that balance of work, play and enjoyment in life.

We all know that the Tanjong Pagar and Chinatown precinct is always packed with lot of people especially during the lunch and dinner hours. Now with the opening of Monochrome, diners can now add a new dining option to their list.

“In the future, we hope to expand horizontally to include retail, design and lifestyle businesses.
For now, we will concentrate on this bistro and focus on creating that unique experience for all
diners”, said co-founder, Jane Neo.

The prep process was pretty vigorous nearing towards the end, as there were many events to go for and practices to attend.
