Singapore Spanish Gourmet Extravaganza at Capella Singapore

For the first time in Singapore, Capella Singapore will host the prestigious culinary event, Spanish Gourmet Extravaganza, presenting the finest selections of Spanish artisan foods, wines and spirits.

Spanish Gourmet Extravaganza at Capella Singapore Spanish Gourmet Extravaganza was inaugurated back in 2015, when it first brought Galician cuisine and an exquisite selection of Spanish wines and spirits to the culinary scene of London, and subsequently to many other cities around the world.


From 31 May to 3 June 2018, festival-goers can look forward to a line up of Michelin-starred themed dinners by Chef Yayo Daporta and Chef Rafael Centeno, as well as indulge in selections of tapas and paella delights curated by renowned chefs.

The award-winning father and son sommeliers, Luis and Alejandro Paadín will be directing the wine tasting session during the four-day festival too. The Spanish gourmet fiesta will end on a high note on 3 June with A Taste of Spain Brunch at the The Knolls where an array of Spanish delicacies, perfectly paired with artisanal selections of Spanish wines.

Spanish Fare at The Knolls

Time: 12:00pm to 2:30pm (Lunch) | 7:00pm to 10:00pm (Dinner)
Venue: The Knolls Indulge in a hearty Spanish fare with handcrafted menu of tapas and paella by Tapas Masters, Chef Álvaro Villasante and Chef Benigno Couso as well as Paella Master, Chef Santi Almuiña as they feature the fusion of innovation and new culinary trends in their creations.

Tapas highlights include Glazed Iberico Pork Ribs with Apple Chimichurri Sauce, Galicianstyle Sea Bass, Mussels with Citrus and Galician White Wine, Tuna Loin with Consommé and Green Peas and more.

Chef Santi Almuiña will be presenting his paella creation, Seafood Paella which consists of Fresh Shellfish, Rockfish Broth, Bomba Rice, Spanish Saffron and Ñora Peppers. Prices start from S$9++ per tapas dish and S$24++ per person per paella (minimum 2 persons).

Join Michelin-starred chefs, Chef Yayo Daporta and Chef Rafael Centeno as they present their signature dishes such as Tuna In Quail Jus, Galician-style Scallops and Marinated Iberico Presa Pork. End the meal on a sweet note with Chocolate Ganache with Cocoa Streusel and Ice Cream. Guests can enjoy the sumptuous delicacies matching the exquisite flavours of premium Spanish wine, specially directed by the father and son duo, sommeliers Luis and Alejandro Paadín. Seats are limited at 20 persons per session.

The four-day Spanish culinary fiesta will culminate into a celebration on 3 June 2018. On top of the usual brunch offerings, diners can look forward to authentic Spanish delicacies at the live food stations helmed by all invited Michelin-starred chefs, Tapas and Paella chefs. Diners can toast to free flow of Spanish wines and beers and spend their Sunday afternoon amidst Spanish live music.

To be honest, it was when i saw my friend Stanley give the most touching proposal on coronation night. The prep process was pretty vigorous nearing towards the end, as there were many events to go for and practices to attend.
