A Celebration of Heritage This Mid-Autumn Festival

This Mid-Autumn Festival, InterContinental® Singapore celebrates its 20th anniversary with a  commemorative box, reflecting the multifaceted facades of the historic Bugis district where the hotel stands resplendent.

Featuring the whimsical illustrations of local artist Jacqueline Goh, the beautiful mooncake tin box captures the hotel’s rich heritage, arts and culture, encapsulated in this time of reunion and tradition at Mid-Autumn. A graduate of the LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, Jacqueline is also the director and designer of The Fingersmith Letterpress, a letterpress printing company specialising in hand lettering and illustrations.

Debuting this season is the delicately-crafted Snowskin Tea Mooncake Collection 冰皮精选茶系列月饼 ($66) featuring aromatic blends of earl grey and baileys truffle with white lotus paste, Japanese matcha, oolong with black sesame paste, and delicate rose with white lotus paste and pistachio, a winning combination that will delight tea aficionados.

A favourite from last year, the Baked Shanghai Mooncake 枫糖上海单黄月饼 (4-piece for $64, 2-piece for $35) makes a revival with a new maple-glazed short crust pastry. Light and buttery, the pastry yields at first bite, revealing the smooth white lotus paste within, further enhanced with the irresistible salted egg yolk.

Time-honoured favourites, the Baked Lotus Mooncake series are combined with mixed nuts for a classic flavour, as well as smooth white lotus paste and the fragrant lotus paste, with choice of single or double yolks. A low-sugar variation of the white lotus paste, generously studded with crunchy macadamia nuts, provides a guilt-free indulgence this Mid-Autumn season.
Specially handpicked by our mooncake specialists, the decadent blend of premium Snowskin ‘Mao Shan Wang’ Durian Mooncake冰皮猫山王榴莲月饼 (4-piece for $64, 2-piece for $35) is another treat that is simply too good to resist.

For a gift to impress loved ones and business associates, InterContinental Singapore’s 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition 二十周年纪念精美礼盒 ($105) presents a delightful assortment of four baked mooncakes in a distinctive satin box bearing Jacqueline’s exquisite illustrations. A new limited edition only available in this series, the Baked Mooncake with Chestnut Paste 栗子红莲蓉夏果 delights with a smooth, velvety texture paired with candied macadamia nuts for added crunch. Other equally luxurious mooncakes in the series include the Baked Mooncake with Double Yolks and White Lotus Paste 双黄白莲 蓉月饼, Baked Mooncake with Assorted Nuts 传统五仁月饼 and Baked Maple-glazed Shanghai Mooncake with Single Yolk 枫糖上海单黄月饼.
