A day by the park

This coming Saturday I am leading my church group to Singapore Botanic Garden. I hope my planning go well... ______________________________________________________________________ Hi all, How are you? This coming Saturday we will be heading to Singapore Botanic Garden for some sight seeing, games and pinic there too. Maybe some of you have not been to Botanic Gardens or did not really have the chance to walk the whole Botanic Garden as the garden was told to have quite big vaguely 'themed' areas (Rainforest, ginger garden, palm tree valley, a large lake and many more...). If you are looking out for some quiet place to relax during your weekend, Botanic Garden is just the correct place for you. With the trees, flowers around and swans swimming by the lake gracefully. I'm sure it will be a day of enjoying the nature, fresh air breathing and sight seeing for us. We can have lot of photo taking along our way. A lot of photogragher like to go there for their photograghy and w...

Hi guys and gals, Sorry I was away for sometime due to my work and some other stuff. But I am back. Still feeling a bit tired although but I think I should pop in here and say hi to everyone and let you all know that I am fine. Can you imagine I come to work these few days like a walking zombie (That's what I describe myself). Really a few time I was totally shut down and don't know what I am doing. Being in my current job, I face computer more than 8 hours a day and is getting me sleepy sometime facing the computer too long... Any tips for eyecare anyone out there? I think I already damage my eyes... Anyway if you got any tips to share do share it here, thanks!!! I am looking forward for my Bangkok trip on April 11th-15th with a group of my friend. Can't wait to get there and have some shopping and eating of Thai food... I had never been there before in my life and I had alway heard of good comment to go there. This time I really going already. Think your secrets are safe?

Think your secrets are safe? YOUR computer probably hides a little secret that you wouldn't want others to know. The secret may not be dirty at all, unlike those buried in the laptop of Hong Kong actor Edison Chen, whose near-pornographic snapshots of his bedroom conquests have been making the rounds on the Internet. Or those of Singapore Airlines pilot Ng Kok Yauw, who was caught in Adelaide International Airport earlier this week and fined for having porno on his laptop. But whether it is a family photo album, private e-mail messages, financial information such as bank account numbers and passwords, or sensitive business documents, many computer users here are still clueless on how to prevent their personal data from falling into the wrong hands. MOST USERS DON'T KNOW The New Paper on Sunday checked with three IT experts, and they agreed that users need to know that it doesn't take much effort to unearth such data even if the users think they have erase...

Edison Chen sex scandal in Hong Kong

Are the pictures real? Everyone must have heard or read about this news. Some may be still guessing if the photo are real? What was a girl like Chung, from the squeaky-clean group Twins, doing in such an X-rated picture? Why would she have posed with a breast peeking out from her bikini and her legs spread apart? Did she even ever date Chen? Her company, Emperor Entertainment, declared in a statement when the pictures leaked out that the picture was a digital composite – a fake, in other words. Newspapers including Ming Pao Daily News, Apple Daily, Oriental Daily News and The Sun took the same position in front-page new stories last Tuesday. They said the photo and another allegedly of Chen and his reported ex-girlfriend Bobo Chan – which showed up on Monday – were digital fakes. But the serial prankster (or pranksters) struck over and over again last week, posting more and more explicit alleged pictures of Chen and Chung, and also of actress Cecilia Cheung. And more and more...

Quite busy for the past few days...

Well the past one week had been quite busy with CNY visiting, work, friends and partially also to entertain my overseas relative who came to Singapore. Thus no time to blog. I showed them to some places in Singapore (Chinatown, Esplanade, Little India and some shopping malls). Ya also took a lot of pictures for them to bring back. Yesterday I just got them developed for them to bring back to China. I do hope they enjoyed the stay in Singapore. Well the weather had been quite good this few days in fact... I love the sun so much!!! Keep shining... Hmm.... It's a fresh new day again and I am back to my office (Karang Guni storeroom)... Well I'm actually quite used to see it messy already... Haha... I hoped all my friend are all happy with what they are doing now... A smile for everyone out there =).

Ever wonder how Maple Syrup is made?

History New England has long been recognized as the largest producer of pure all natural maple syrup and delicious maple products around the world. Maple Syrup come from the sweet sugar sap, which is obtained from the sugar maple, one of the most beautiful and stately of American trees. Native Americans were the first to discover the fact that sap from maple trees could be processed into maple syrup and sugar. While there are no authenticated accounts of how this process was discovered, there are several interesting legends that are still talked about during sugaring time. The making of maple syrup is truly an American art, passed down from one generation to the next. A popular legend is that a Native American chief hurled his tomahawk at a tree which happened to be a sugar maple, and the sap began to flow. The clear liquid that dripped from the wound collected in a container on the ground below. His wife, believing the liquid was water, used it to cook venison. Both the meat and the s...

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you!!!

I guessed many of you all may not know the origin of Valentine's Day as I just got to read then today too. Here is some sharing.... Maybe is a myth but still worth reading it. The Origin of Valentine's Day -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The origins of Valentine's Day trace back to the ancient Roman celebration of Lupercalia. Held on February 15, Lupercalia honored the gods Lupercus and Faunus, as well as the legendary founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus. In addition to a bountiful feast, Lupercalia festivities are purported to have included the pairing of young women and men. Men would draw women's names from a box, and each couple would be paired until next year's celebration. While this pairing of couples set the tone for today's holiday, it wasn't called "Valentine's Day" until a priest named Valentine came along. Valentine, a romantic at heart, disobeyed Emperor Claudius II's decree that...

To all Movie Lovers out there

I guessed everyone may have noticed by now that Cathay movie ticket price rising up by $0.50 (Refer to news- http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/325778/1/.html ). Prices for tickets at all Cathay cineplexes had already gone up on 31st Jan 2008, adding to the rash of recent price increases including taxi fares, electronic road pricing and cooking gas. This is really quite bad for all movie lover and for students I think. At a media conference on Jan 2008, the cinema operator and film distributor said it was raising ticket prices for films by 50 cents or about 6 per cent due to "escalating prices in goods, services, labour, film rentals and the Goods and Services Tax". What's more, an additional 50 cents will be tagged on for blockbusters such as Harry Potter and Iron Man. Imagine you be expecting to pay up to S$10.50 on a weekend to watch blockbusters such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince or The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, etc....

Movie sharing- CJ7

Well... It had been really quite long after the Kungfu Hustle to see Stephen Chow's movie again. This time round he brought us "CJ7", his latest movie. In CJ7 movie, Stephen Chow played as a poor father who tries his best to raise his young son on his own. Although he can't afford to buy his boy the best things in life, their life perks up when dad brings home a strange alien object. He is a good comedy actor I must admit to it. He never fail to entertain us with his acting each time. This time round he had reach another level of acting. We get to see his good father kind image. Really touching when I saw the scene of him playing with his son (Dicky Chow) on the bed and sleeping together. It was so heart warming.... =) Although Dicky lead a poor life with his dad, but he is happy with what he have. Can you imagine your dad have to go find used shoes from the garbage for you to wear to school, pick rotten apples and cut off the rotten portion just to let you eat? Altho...

Something private....but I gonna disclose this to you all...

Ya... Today I shall disclose some of my privacy to you all... Yes the below photo you saw is an office and it's where I am working everyday. I am sitting on the left side of the photo. The one at the right side is my boss's table. The office had been like this since I came day 1. Looking at the photo, you all should had know that my boss is a very busy person. He is a nice and understanding boss I ever had. I alway have no problem when come to taking leave. I love my job because I have a understanding boss like him. He is alway patient with me too. We had discussed that we should do a spring cleaning one day before CNY but we failed. Hope we can have it one of this day... If not our office will soon become a "Garung Guning" store room... lol

5th day of CNY

Today is the 5th day of CNY only... My company is one of the few that opened today. When I reach my office, I'm still in CNY mood and don't feel like working... Only wished that the holiday can be longer... Every staffs was given a $5 Ang Bao for the opening of work! Some advice to everyone: Better drink more water during this period and not fall sick...

What a fun night of Mahjong and Blackjack playing

Saturday's night (3rd day of CNY), I went to Celeste's hse at Palmwood Condo along Upper Changi Rd. This is our 1st time being there for myself, Tommy, Kevin, Gary and Gary's friends. We started off with playing mahjong then poker card. It's been a long time since I played those games... My luck was really good when I played Blackjack... After playing till ard 5am, we went to the coffeeshop outside Celeste's hse to eat Prata and Maggi Mee Goreng. Celeste do have a very good staying area... I think the coffeeshop outside her hse is a plus for her. And ya she stayed at level 1 and the swimming pool is just directly outside her hse (Machiam her swimming pool like that)... So good... After eating the breakfast, we went back to her house and countinue on some poker cards game before heading home for everyone. Thanks to Celeste for dropping us at Kovan... If not me and Kevin would not have reach home at 7am. Got home the 1st thing to do is jump onto my bed... Supershack.....

3rd day of Chinese New Year

Sunrise It's another great day to start off today. I just had my run this morning and managed to snap this picture of the sunrise. Now I felt so refresh after a shower. Feeling less sinful now after the morning workout... Which mean I can eat more today.. lol

2nd day of Chinese New Year

Today I woke up at 6.45am and managed to drag myself to the path below my block for my run. I don't normally get up so early during my non-working day to go for my run. Guessed I was really motivated somehow to get up so early in the morning. Was smiling to myself when I was running, don't know why I was so happy when I was running... The other day a pastor of mine said he was walking along the street one day and the wind blowed on his face and he felt so happy just by that. I think I am one that can easily get happy just by that too. As I was running today, I felt the freshness in the air, the gentle wind that was blowing toward me and also warm feeling from the sun that is coming out slowly. I have learned to appreciate things around me, for what I had now may not be alway there... This morning was really a good weather. I get to watch sunrise too. Maybe tomorrow when I go for my run again, I try to snap a picture of the sunrise and blog it. =) After my run, I came back home ...
