Because Jewel Changi Airport is opening and Changi Airport will no longer be a place just for you to catch your flights or hoover up duty-free stuff. Designed by world renowned architect Moshe Safdie, Jewel will feature a distinctive dome-shaped facade made of glass and steel, making it an iconic landmark in the airport’s landscape. The complex covers a total gross floor area of 134,000 m, spanning 10 storeys – five storeys above-ground and five basement storeys. It is sited next to Terminal 1 (T1) and linked to T2 and T3 via air-conditioned linkways fitted with travelators. Visitors can look forward to world class experience that includes gardens, attractions, a hotel, aviation facilities and 300 retail and dining facilities.
