Celebrate 30 years of Ice Blended with The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf®
The best things happen when it is least expected. The birth of the original Ice Blended was an incidental creation by a team member working with The Coffee Bean in Westwood, CA. Dating back to 1987, in search for that missing taste, she replaced diet shake powder with Premium Chocolate Powder and blended it with coffee extract, milk and ice – the resultant beverage, The Original Ice Blended®! A cup of delight that sparked off a craze for ice blended coffee treats.
Today, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® turned 30 and coffee lovers across Asia and the Middle East can join in the celebration with the exciting promotions that the Specialty Coffee House has placed in store!
Kicking off the party, we were invited to a closed-door party on its birthday, August 30th at Marina Square’s The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® outlet to celebrate it with 20 contestants from The New Paper New Face 2017! At the event, these beautiful ladies signed on a 1.8m tall giant Ice Blended cup and designed their own Ice Blended glass tumblers for fundraising. The funds raised were contributed to Singapore’s Children Society.
We were also impressed by the specially-crafted, photo-worthy Ice Blended inspired birthday cake.
In celebration, The Coffee Bean fans can now receive a beverage voucher to redeem a free large-sized Ice Blended (worth $8.30 - $9.00), with every top up of $30.00 on any The Coffee Bean Card. Promotion valid until September 22, 2017.
Known for its delicious Ice Blended flavours, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® offers customers the freedom to customise their beverage to suit personal likings; for instance, customers may request to de-caffeinate the beverage, substitute milk with soy milk, adjust sugar levels, amp up the chocolate/vanilla powder or even add an extra espresso shot for a stronger boost.
