Hotel Nikko Bali (Oceanfront Suite) - Best Hotel in Nusa Dua

Waking up to ocean view is no longer a dream when you stay in Hotel Nikko Bali’s Oceanfront Suite. Boasting a mixture of Balinese wooden style and modern comfort, the suite offers a private balcony with full view of the glorious Indian Ocean.

The bed was very comfy and the sheets were crisp and clean.

The room is 86 sqm (926 sqf) and comes with a King Bed.

There is a big sofa and a table in the middle of the living room.

The balcony is spacious and good for chilling and enjoying fresh air. If you wake up early around 6.20am in the morning, you be able to catch beautiful sunrise from the balcony too!

Amenities were provided. There were toothbrush, comb, sewing set, cotton, shower cap, soap, razor, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion.

There was a folded towel shaped of a turtle to welcome guest in the room. Isn't it cute?

There is also a small fridge in the room.

There are also complimentary fresh fruits on the table.

They also placed fresh flowers in the room.

Nagisa Izakaya Bali Restaurant

If you like Japanese food, do check out Nagisa Izakaya Bali Restaurant which is available in the hotel. It is the perfect place to have a meal with relaxed ambience, attentive staffs and friendly prices.  I had Sashimi, Chawanmushi, Tempura, Miso Soup and Tempura Ice-cream. The ingredients are fresh and the portion was generous!

The staffs here are very friendly and attentive.

They also serves cocktails here too.

The Chawanmushi is so smooth and delicious.

Giorgio Italian Ristorante Pizzeria

Another restaurant that is available in the hotel is Giorgio Italian Ristorante Pizzeria which unfolded its wings in May 2008 and rapidly became “The Italian Cuisine” reference in the area of Tanjung Benoa – Nusa Dua, Bali. The philosophy of the Chef’s cuisines is based on the freshness and the authenticity of the ingredients. You may decide to dine al fresco, or inside within the air-conditioned dining room. Both settings will suit you well for a memorable dining experience.

They also have cocktails on their menu too.

One of the must try is their Pollo Alla Positano -Stuffed chicken breast with prosciutto, cheddar cheese, asparagus, summer veggies, natural jus, and evo.

To end off the meal on a sweet note, do order their Panna Cotta Alle Fragole! The dessert is simply luscious, velvety & creamy!

Waterblow - Breathtaking Attraction

Don't miss this tourist attraction during your stay in Nusa Dua! Water Blow in Nusa Dua lets you witness the awesome power of nature as large waves from the Indian Ocean constantly crash against the jagged limestone edges on the peninsula’s south-eastern cliff. You can easily reach this purpose-built lookout along paved footpaths on the southern half of the ‘twin islands’.

Here you’ll find 240 degrees of dramatic seascape, with the irregular splashes and sprays simply adding to the fun of it. Do be careful as there are no lifeguard around the area when you are enjoying the sweeping views and approach the Water Blow site.

The so-called ‘water blows’ result from the narrowing crag below the cliff face that channel a massive surge of water up to 30m high from its base following strong currents.

The best period is generally from July to October. It is highly recommended to bring an umbrella and a water-proof jacket, considering the high possibility of getting totally soaked! Be sure to protect your camera gear from the unpredictable splashes and sprays too.

Sogo Department Store for shopping

After dinner, me and my friends took a GrabCar to go Sogo Department Store. It is an expansive department store occupying a considerable space on the outer perimeter of Nusa Dua's Bali Collection shopping complex. Inside you'll find a mix of international and local fashion brands under a single roof.

Air-conditioned throughout, Sogo provides a cool and enjoyable shopping experience with various brands presenting an eclectic range of items, such as cosmetics, fragrances, ladies' and menswear, a full range of fashion accessories, children’s toys and clothing, and homeware and furniture. There's a Starbucks within the department store if you need a coffee break, too.
