A Luxurious Escape: My Stay at Regent Taipei’s Tai Pan Room

From the moment I arrived at Regent Taipei, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Located in the heart of the city, this iconic hotel seamlessly blends contemporary luxury with warm hospitality.

My stay in the Tai Pan Room on the Executive floor elevated the experience even further. By day, the city bustled with life, and by night, the glowing skyline provided a tranquil backdrop to unwind.

The bed in the Tai Pan Room at Regent Taipei is nothing short of heavenly. It features a king-sized, plush mattress with premium bedding, soft linens, and fluffy pillows that guarantee a restful night’s sleep. The bed strikes the perfect balance between support and comfort, enveloping you in luxury the moment you lie down. After a long day, sinking into it feels like being wrapped in a cloud—truly one of the highlights of the stay.

Facing the bed is a large flat-screen TV, offering a wide range of local and international channels as well as on-demand entertainment options

The room itself is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plush furnishings, a generous work area.

The bathroom in the Tai Pan Room at Regent Taipei is a true highlight of the space, embodying both luxury and functionality. It’s designed with marble finishes and sleek, modern fixtures that exude elegance.

The standout feature is the deep soaking bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring Taipei. There’s also a spacious walk-in rain shower, offering a spa-like experience with its steady, rejuvenating water flow.

Premium Molton Brown amenities elevate the experience, adding a touch of indulgence with their soothing scents and high-quality formulations.

Thoughtful details like plush towels, soft bathrobes, and a well-lit vanity area with a magnifying mirror ensure both comfort and convenience.

Whether you’re getting ready for the day or unwinding in the evening, the bathroom in the Tai Pan Room feels like a private sanctuary within the heart of the city.

What sets the Executive floor apart is the access to the Tai Pan Lounge, a serene retreat exclusive to guests of Tai Pan rooms and suites.

Stepping into the lounge, I was greeted with a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance, ideal for a moment of solitude or a quiet meeting. I enjoyed sipping on a drink while sampling a selection of canapés, thoughtfully curated to complement the tranquil environment. The personalized service here was impeccable, making me feel pampered and well-cared for.

This is one of my favorite spot at the lounge where I enjoyed my breakfast with beside the window.

Here are some of the food that was served during the breakfast at Tai Pan Lounge:

Beyond the comfort of the room, Regent Taipei offers an impressive array of facilities. I spent time at the rooftop pool, a refreshing escape where you can take in views of the city while basking in the sun.

The state-of-the-art gym provided everything I needed for a good workout.

For moments of pure relaxation, the Wellspring Spa was a dream. Offering a variety of treatments inspired by both Eastern and Western wellness traditions, the spa is perfect for anyone looking to rejuvenate mind and body.

One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the breakfast buffet at Brasserie. The spread was an indulgent feast with something for everyone—whether you’re craving local Taiwanese specialties or international fare. I loved starting my day with steaming bowls of beef noodles, perfectly crispy pastries, and freshly brewed coffee. The live cooking stations added a dynamic touch, where chefs prepared dishes to order, ensuring everything was fresh and flavorful.

Regent Taipei doesn’t just offer a stay; it delivers an experience rooted in luxury and thoughtfulness. The combination of refined accommodations, exclusive privileges, and world-class facilities made my time here unforgettable.

Getting around the city is easy as it is just minutes from Taipei Main Station and a quick hop from Zhong Shan MRT Station Exit 4 on the Danshui line. Nestled in the lively Zhong Shan district, you’re surrounded by buzzing financial hubs, cultural spots, and endless shopping options. Plus, with buses right at the hotel’s doorstep, you’re just a ride away from Taipei’s must-sees—art museums, night markets, and all the city’s iconic hotspots.
