STAY SMART at Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11

Bangkok is a place I will never get sick of. I love the place for the shopping districts, the locals’ impeccable hospitality and not forgetting the Thai cuisine. I love Tom Yam soup, Green Curry, Mookata and Mango Sticky Rice!

Although many restaurants around the world offer authentic Thai food, nothing beats having it in from the original country itself. And that is why I make it a point to visit Bangkok at least once every year.

If you like the nightlife, I would like to recommend staying at  Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11

Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sukhumvit 11- Queen Standard Room

The smart hotel is conveniently located 500 meters/5 minutes from Nana BTS Station, in the vibrant Sukhumvit 11, with access to many bars and nightlife options (Do check out Above Eleven rooftop bar and Havana Social which is only 5 minute walking distance away). For shopping malls that are nearby, check out Terminal 21, Emporium, EmQuartier and Central Embassy shopping malls.

What I like a about the hotel is they provide Tuk Tuk Shuttle that will take you to/from the Nana BTS Station. If you need to work or stay online, the hotel also provides Free High-Speed Internet in all Rooms.

I like the little couch area beside the windows, in their Queen Standard Room.

The view from my hotel room's window

Mini Fridge, Deposit Box and Tea & Coffee making facilities

Comfortable bed with 2 choice of pillow (Soft and Firm).

Working desk if you need to do some writing or work on your laptop.

Hair dryer provided in the room.

Shower facilities.

Need to check some urgent email? There is an internet corner with computers at their lobby.

Kick start your day on the right note with a hearty breakfast with fruits, cereal, pastries, egg, sausage and beverage selections. If you are in a hurry? You can also opt for their Grab and Go breakfast.

The hotel also provides a 24-hour gym (accessible with your room key card). Located on the rooftop, the gym is equipped with treadmills, free weights and stationary bicycle.

INTERVIEW WITH MR WORLD SINGAPORE 2022 (SENIOR): S3 UMAR ABDUL HAMID

 1) During your entire time of Mr World Singapore 2022 from the time you auditioned till you won the title, tell us - what was the most overwhelming moment for you? Personally, as the grand final day drew nearer, and diet and water had to be stricter, it was hard trying to keep up with the nutrition portion as well as the rest and recovery portion. Aside from that, i was starting to feel a little more anxious that i should and a huge part of it was because i invited my mother to be part of the audience and i wanted the event to be memorable for her. But i guess everything was worth it in the end.  2) What was the prep process like? From the auditions all the way to the Grand Finals, i knew i had to step up as prior to the audition, i let myself go quite abit because of the fact that i was juggling between work and handling my 3 children. But i guess after the audition. i made a clear intent to give 100% to get ready for the grand finals and since then, i made more conscious de...

My Honest Review of the LUMOS Tablet — Budget-Friendly, Surprisingly Capable

I’ve always had a soft spot for discovering local tech gems — and that’s how I stumbled onto the LUMOS Tablet. You probably know LUMOS for their projectors, but they’ve recently launched a tablet that caught my attention. Spoiler: For the price, it actually delivers. Here’s my personal take after using it for a couple of weeks — plus the specs you’ll want to know. ⸻ First Impressions Unboxing the LUMOS Tablet felt like a good start. It has a 10.1-inch Full HD IPS Display (1920 x 1200), which immediately stood out — bright, clear, and vibrant enough for Netflix marathons or YouTube spirals. The tablet weighs around 500g and has a sleek, modern design that doesn’t feel cheap at all. It’s light enough to toss in your tote or backpack without feeling like you’re carrying a brick. ⸻ Under the Hood – Technical Specs Here’s a quick look at what powers this tablet: • Processor: Octa-Core 2.0GHz • RAM: 4GB • Storage: 64GB (expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD) • Operating System: ...
