Singapore Blog Awards 2010 新加坡部落格大奖 2010

Last Saturday, I attended the Singapore Blog Awards 2010 at Movida!
It was a glamourous night!
This year’s Singapore Blog Awards were presented at a glitzy event at Movida, St James Power Station on 10 July 2010. Organised by omy.sg, the bilingual news and interactive web portal of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), the Awards honour “new-age wordsmiths” who devote their time and energy to creating and maintaining informative and innovative blogs.

We walked in through Red Carpet and there were photogragher around
making us feel like a big stars!

Paul, Kaydon, HP, Mint, Yongwei & Bernard were there too!
We took some photo together before entering the club!


I met Joyce inside the club too! She was with Silver and friends.


We were served with yummy foods from Orange Clove!

We managed to get a table and sat down and enjoyed the food and drinks (Tiger beer & juices).


Yutaki was one of the finalist for the SBA2010!
Ris Low was there in her BLING BLING dress and she won the best dressed that day!



The winners received their prizes from Guest of Honour Mr Teo Ser Luck, Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Community Development, Youth and Sports, and Transport).

The 10 winning bloggers earned a trip to Hong Kong with air tickets and accommodation paid for by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, in addition to a trophy specially designed by Cultural Medallion winning artist Mr Tan Swie Hian.

The winners were determined via public voting, as well as scores given by a panel of ten professional judges. Over a period of 3 months, more than 1000 blogs registered for the Awards and over 62,000 votes were cast to vote for the finalists.

Judges for this year’s Awards were Mr Kelvin Tong, movie director; Ms Kuo Jian Hong, Co-Artistic Director of The Theatre Practice; Ms Anna Lim, Radio 100.3 deejay; Mr Josh Lim, Managing Director of Advertlets; Mr U-Zyn Chua, CEO of Ping.sg; Mr Samuel Ng, CEO of Marine Parade Family Service Centre; Ms Xiao Han, Director and Lyricist of Funkie Monkies Productions; Mr Walter Lim, Director of Corporate Services and Marketing Communications, National Art Gallery and Mr Danny Yeo, theatre practitioner.

Guests at the Awards were treated to performances by Best Modeling Blog finalists, Silver Ang and Kanny Theng.

In collaboration with EASB (East Asia Institute of Management), students who are majoring in Hospitality from the institution provided the invited guests with VIP treatment in their spiffy suits.

The main sponsors of Singapore Blog Awards 2010 are EASB, National Heritage Board (NHB) and United International Pictures (UIP). Other sponsors include the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Rednano, ASUS, Asia Web Direct and Fabrix. It is supported by blog networks, Advertlets.com and Ping.sg as well as Singapore’s top Online Classifieds portal, ST701.

1) During your entire time of Mr World Singapore 2022 from the time you auditioned till you won the title, tell us - what was the most overwhelming moment for you? To be honest, it was when i saw my friend Stanley give the most touching proposal on coronation night. It really made me tear up seeing how emotional he got while on his knee 2) What was the prep process like? The prep process was pretty vigorous nearing towards the end, as there were many events to go for and practices to attend. Though vigorous, I felt that they were all enjoyable with the class of 2022 around. 3) Are there any nervous moments and stress factors during the competition and how did you deal with it?
