Tourist's MUST VISIT PLACES and MUST EAT FOOD in SINGAPORE!

I was a Singapore Tour Guide recently!
Because two of my Taiwanese friend (From Left: Liang Wei and Ah Bing) came Singapore for holiday.
It was their 1st time coming to Singapore and they only have 3 days in Singapore and I really want to show them to some of the MUST VISIT places and also MUST EAT food in Singapore. I don't want them to miss out the wonderful things of Singapore

We went Clarke Quay (克拉碼頭), took a walk by the river.
Clarke Quay is a historical riverside quay in Singapore, located within the Singapore River Planning Area. The quay is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River and Boat Quay.

Esplanade  – Theatres on the Bay (滨海艺术中心) is a waterside building located on six hectares of waterfront land alongside Marina Bay near the mouth of the Singapore River, purpose-built to be the centre for performing arts for the island nation of Singapore. Many people said the esplanade theater looks like a 'Twin Durians'!

Gardens by the Bay (滨海湾花园) is a park spanning 101 hectares (250 acres) of reclaimed land[1] in central Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden. Gardens by the Bay is an integral part of a strategy by the Singapore government to transform Singapore from a "Garden City" to a "City in a Garden". The stated aim is to raise the quality of life by enhancing greenery and flora in the city.

You can catch beautiful sunset from the bridge.

Merlion 鱼尾狮
My Taiwanese friend kept calling it '尾狮鱼' initially, then we kept teasing him.
The Merlion (Malay: Singa-Laut) is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore. Its name combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which means "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original name — Singapura — meaning "lion city" or "kota singa".

If you want to strike a funny pose with the Merlion, you might want to take something like this.

How about this? Be as creative as you can!

Orchard Road (乌节路)- Shopping Paradise.

Went to the Kiehl's Store at Tangs Orchard, Level 1 and took FREE PHOTO!!!

Well they have a very interesting photo booth at the store that allow customers to take free photo!
Well, you can do some shopping at the same time. The Kiehl's staffs are really friendly and they offer free skincare consultation. I love their Oil-free Ultra facial Cleanser!

Chinatown 牛车水
My friend, Ah Bing again called it wrongly as '车水牛'!
I laughed like mad!

Chinatown is an ethnic neighbourhood featuring distinctly Chinese cultural elements and a historically concentrated ethnic Chinese population. Chinatown is located within the larger district of Outram. As the largest ethnic group in Singapore is Chinese, Chinatown is considerably less of an enclave than it once was. (Note: The name Chinatown is given by the British and today usually used by non-Chinese Singaporeans, whereas Chinese Singaporeans usually use the term Niu Che Shui as the term Chinatown usually refers to enclaves of Chinese people in regions where Chinese people are the minority ethnic group.) However, the district does retain significant historical and cultural significance. Large sections of it have been declared national heritage sites officially designated for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

Brought them to take the Singapore Flyer ( 新加坡摩天观景轮).
It’s the world’s largest observation wheel.

Big Starfish spotted at S.E.A Aquarium (海洋生物馆).

Yes we also went to the S.E.A Aquarium. It is the world’s largest aquarium and maritime museum.
I have been to quite a few aquarium lately and I feel that Singapore one is the best!
I can really see the fishes clearly and there are a lot more fishes to see.

Had some drinks at Zouk to experience the night life in Singapore! CHEERS!!! =)

Went Bugis Street (武吉士街) to buy Singapore Souvenirs!
My friend, Ah Bing is really a HARECORE SOUVENIRS COLLECTOR!!!
He bought a lot of souvenirs home!
We also enjoy bargaining with the lady stall owner. If you ever go Bugis, go look out for this Vietnam lady, she is very friendly and always give discount or freebies!

Take note: Some advice, don't buy from the 1st store, ask around a few stores 1st before you buy.
Normally there is a cheaper price when you buy more.

TIME FOR FOOD!!!!
Well, in term of food there are so many choices of food to eat in Singapore.
Beside Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak, Bat Kut Teh, Roti Prata and Satay,
the Chilli Crab ione of Singapore's signature dishes that is a MUST TRY when you visit Singapore!

So where to find the Best & Original Chilli Crab in Singapore?

Chilli Crab (辣椒螃蟹) at Roland Restaurant has the Best Chilli Crab in Singapore.
They are the Founder/Creator of Chilli Crab in Singapore since 1956!!!
Wow that was even way back before I was even born.
And today this dish had became Singapore's signature dish!

Although there are so many places selling Chilli Crabs in Singapore, but my no.1 favorite and recommended place to go is still Roland Restaurant.

Not simply because they are the founder of Chilli Crabs, but because they served fresh meaty crabs in their unique spicy-sweet chili sauce with deep-fried mantou. Everytime when I eat it, I will feel this is one of the most satisfying experiences in life.

Since 1956, FOUNDER OF CHILLI CRAB, Mr. Lim Choon Ngee & Mdm Cher Yam Tian started their seafood restaurant along the Kallang River with just a couple of kerosene lamps, wooden tables and stools. Back then, the seafood was cook using an open charcoal fire. As the number of seafood lovers grew, the restaurant was then relocated itself to Bedok Beach (before the reclamation of land, now the ECP) along Upper East Coast Road. They served not only the finest quality food, but also the most generous helpings of food. Seafood dishes were kept to a mimimum to simplify their operations. Their specialities were, of course their creation, the Chilli Crab accompanied by local Crusty French loaf for dipping into the sauce, Black Sauce Prawns, Sambal Mussels, Fried Baby Squids, Teochew Style Steamed Fish and not forgetting Cockles dip with Home Made Mum's Chilli Sauce, prepared by Mdm Cher.

Their Seafood restaurant soon earned a reputation purely by word of mouth. Up till today, the food consistently earns the highest praise. In 1985, Mr. and Mrs. Lim together with the family decided to migrate to Christchurch, New Zealand, selling off part of their restaurant shares and leaving the remaining shares to his son, Mr. Roland Lim whom NOW, together with wife, Lilian and younger brother Richard operates their LATEST three in one Restaurant - Seafood, Cantonese and Tim Sum Dishes - at Block 89, Marine Parade Central, #06-750.

The entrance

The interior with a seating capacities of 1100 person.
Very Hongkong style.

Clean and neat.

1.Deep fried Crullers with baby squid You got to try this!
The baby squid are deep fried to give you the crispy feeling!

There is a unique sauce for you to dip the the food too!
The sauce is very tasty and goes well with the crullers.

2.Black sauce prawns The prawn are big, tasty and succulent.
3.Chilli crab with fried buns
One of the freshest and nicest chili crab I ever tasted.

Love dipping the bun in the gravy!

4.Roland Fried Rice

Good 'wok hei' (aroma achieved by very high heat frying technique)!

You can purchase the 'Mum's Chilli Sauce' at the restaurant at S$3.50 too.

There is a photo wall outside their restaurant with photo of many celebrities who had visited the restaurant.

Overall, I think I did my part in bringing my Taiwanese friends around Singapore!
At least I managed to bring them to the MUST VISIT places and also MUST EAT food in Singapore!
I really enjoyed the few days touring around with them!!!

Me & my Taiwanese friends enjoyed our dinner at Roland Restaurant too!
Definitely come back again! =)

  10. Finally, the part I like best, number of deaths is not recorded in Yakuza Lords.
Unlike previous Modern Warfare games, kills are no longer the only
way to increase the players pointstreak.
Considering that the discharge of the game, numerous hacks have arrived out that have
wound up possibly receiving patched or they just did not get
    the job done.
