PHEWTICK is a SCAM or maybe not????

PHEWTICK, the app that pays you whenever you meet people with PHEWTICK  app too.
Simply scan their QR code on their phone and you gets points and such points are converted to cash and you may CASH OUT through paypal. It is quite ADDICTIVE and it is spreading like WILDFIRE and lot and lot of people are playing PHEWTICK now!!!

Is PHEWTICK a scam like what  some people said?
Many people are curious how did the company makes money and where do they get the money to even pay us? Below is a bad comment written by someone.

I am not too sure if she is saying the truth but I hope the below research can at least help you clear some doubt or concern.
My Research
I found out that the app might evolve into something else in Singapore.

"The company plans to make money by offering both traditional and localized advertising. On the local front, Phewtick wants to get creative with its advertising by allowing businesses to sponsor their own games on the app. For instance, a restaurant can offer a game on Phewtick, but specify that the people must meet at their restaurant. Then the restaurant pays out the points for that game, but may also gain a new customer." mentioned by Megan Kelly from Venturebeat.com

I think this makes a lot of sense to me now.
Plus I saw this video, seem like the PHEWTICK is a bit different from what we had in Singapore.
We don't have the "SEARCH USER"function which is available in Korea if I not wrong. 
If they really have that in Singapore, I think will be a bit dangerous too. Cause you will be meeting strangers, people you don't know and what they are up to. Especially kids who are not mature enough to think, might end up being rape. So maybe that why that function is not available in Singapore- being the safest country.

My evaluation for PHEWTICK
I think we are now only at the beginning stage only, though I saw some advertisements at the bottom of the app when I scan my friends.

I believe soon there will be like restaurants or merchandise stores having QR code too. So you have to go to their store to scan the code and gain points. Or meet your friends at the specific location/events to gain points.

This is to drive people to their store and be their potential customers.
