Homemade Traditions at Sheraton Towers Singapore‏

Very soon the Mid-Autumn Festival is coming!!!
Do you know that the Mid-Autumn Festival also called "Mooncake festival" is a 1,000 year-old-tradition?
It is also Chinese version of "Thanksgiving"!!!

It is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar and the moon on that also appears at its fullest and brightest. It is a day where Chinese families around the world gathered over fragrant tea and festive goodies such as mooncakes and pomelos to celebrate harmony, family unity and togetherness.

According to the lunar calendar, Mid-Autumn Festival is on 8 September this year (2014).

Celebrate the traditions of Mid-Autumn Festival and revel in the homemade marvels at Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant as award-winning Chef Chung Yiu Ming and his culinary team unveils three new enthralling creations. Nestled in tastefully designed boxes, Li Bai’s fine selection of mooncakes will be available from 6 August to 8 September 2014.

New this year, the Traditional Baked Yellow Lotus Seed Paste with Cranberry and Hazelnut Mooncake promises a medley of toothsome taste and textures. The fragrant yellow Lotus Seed Paste is imbued with the fruit’s subtle sweetness and complemented with the delightful crunch of Hazelnuts.

Refreshing on the palate, the new Mini White Lotus Seed Paste with Lemon Mandarin Truffle Mooncake defines an uplifting blend of citruses. The unique creation of Mini Green Tea White Lotus Seed Paste with Rosehip Truffle Mooncake sees the marriage of Green Tea and pleasant tanginess of Rosehip, making it a gratifying treat.

As a symbol of luck, success and wealth, elegant blooms serve as the packaging inspiration this year. The Classic box is donned in an auspicious red fabric laced with intricate Adenium embroidery, whereas the new Premium box features an elaborate brocade of luxurious gold and magenta Peonies. Encased within this opulent box are four matching individual boxes which house Li Bai’s exquisite mooncakes. Perfected with an elegant gold embellishment of Li Bai’s logo atop, the elegantly designed box makes a perfect mid-autumn gift to impress your clients and loved ones. Collectors of preceding creations will be pleased to know that this latest addition exudes Li Bai’s rich heritage and fittingly complements their treasured collection.
