Time to Yum Cha with your mum!!!

Mother's Day is celebrated to honor mothers and to express gratitude for the hardships they bear in bringing up a child. This year mother's day will be on 8 May 2016. Flowers and gifts are usually given to mothers on this special day. Some will also bring their mum for a nice meal.

Yum Cha Singapore just launched 3 special items specially for Mother's day this year!

Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables Bun 梅菜扣肉包 S$2.00/PC

The meat in this bun is soft, juicy and tender!

Pan-fried Salted Fish Bun 香煎咸鱼包 ($5 for 3 pcs)
This is not just an ordinary bun, it was said to be a favourite dish of the Kangxi Emperor of the Qing Dynasty. Don't worry the bun is not very salty, salted fish is mixed with minced pork in this filling.

Almond Tarts 杏仁挞 S$3.20 (3pcs)
My mum loves anything almond. These tarts are baked just nice and perfect! Crispy crust with soft and smooth almond paste.

All this 3 items will be available from 1st-14th May 2016 at Yum Cha Chinatown and Yum Cha Changi outlet!

Other must try includes:

Steamed Fish Maw in Shrimp Paste 百花酿鱼鳔 S$4.80 (3pcs)

Prawn & Mango Sesame Fritters S$4.20 (3pcs)

Pumpkin Yam and Golden Cake $4.20 / 3pcs
Something unique and you do not find it in many dim sum places.
Crispy on the outside and soft inside.

Black Pepper Beef with Lotus
This dish should be call the Traffic Light Beef instead (because of the colour of the capsicum).
The beef is really tender and juicy! Beef lovers will like this!

S$16 - Regular, S$24 - Medium, S$32 - Large
Silky smooth inside with slight crisp on the outside and sprinkled with 7 types of spice mix. It is slightly spicy and pepperish.

Stir Fried Vermicelli with Seafood
S$14 - Regular, S$22 - Medium, S$30 - Large
Never taste such a nice stir-fried vermicelli before...
The serving is generous with lot of prawns and scallops. Love the texture and it is also not overlytoo oily. Try it!!!

S$23 - regular, S$34 - medium, S$46 - large
I'm a great fan of Salted Egg Prawn! This is definitely one that you should give it a try! Prawns are fresh and succulent! I also like the interesting spicy salad in the glass that you can eat together with the prawn for an ultimate taste.

This is one of the must order when you are dining here.
Flowy lava and the steam bun is soft.

I'm pretty sure your mum and grandma will definitely love this long-lost taste of traditional Chinese dishes at Yumcha.
