It's Duan Wu Festival! Have you eat "Ba Zhang" yet?

How do Singaporean celebrates Duan Wu 2012 Festival?
Singaporean organized dragon boat races, symbolizing searching for Qu Yuan’s body on the river. In the past, dumplings are said to be thrown on the river to drive away the fishes from the legendary poet’s body.

Nowadays, Singaporeans prepare the rice dumplings as a delicacy (Picture shown above), which made this festival is also known as the Chinese Dumpling Festival of Singapore.

And during this period, the dumplings are slightly more expensive too. Some people will also buy them as a gifts to their family, relatives and friends. Well I'm sure you will feel good receiving them too!

So where to find nice Dumplings in Singapore?
Today I would like to share this nice Dumplings eating place which I visited recently.

(Closed on Sun & Public Holiday)

Note: 24 Jun (Sun) they will be opening due to Duan Wu Festival 端午节 aka Dragon Boat Festival which falls on June 23 June this year.

Different color of the string represents different type of dumplings.

Chill Powder were served with the Dumpling. This is quite unique!

Ingredients (meat, salted egg yolk, mushroom and chestnut) were stuffed in the centre of the dumplings.

This stall not only sell the traditional Pork Dumpling, but also Chicken Dumpling, Nonya Dumpling and Pork Belly Dumpling.

The most popular one is of cause the Pork Dumpling! Go try it!

Because of Duan Wu Festival is around the corner, all prices seen above are $1 more expensive than normal day. So on a normal day a Pork Dumpling without egg would cost $3.
