Not Lion Dancers but Lion Men

We all know that Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture and other Asian countries, in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume. Such performance is usually performed during the Chinese New Year and other Chinese traditional, cultural and religious festivals. It may also be performed at many other important occasions such as business opening events, special celebrations or wedding ceremonies, or may be used to honour special guests by the Chinese communities. We usually call the performers the lion dancers.

Don't call them the lion dancers again...


Jack Neo wants you to call them The Lion Men.


This is Jack Neo's latest movie- The Lion Men.

  How I feel about the movie? 
Personally I feel it is quite entertaining with the cast from Ah Boys to Men returning back to the screen. and they are no longer the Ah Boys but the Lion Men. Though there may be some flaws in the movie, it still manages to deliver the key ingredient for a comedy movie: funny and goofy. Just a right amount of funny elements. It's a good option for a rest day off. Just watch, laugh and get over it. It was no doubt why Jack Neo is one of Singapore's most prolific filmmakers. The film is about the battle between two rival lion dance troupes, Tiger Crane and Storm Ridersled. The Tiger Crane is led by Mikey (Wang Weiliang) and Storm Ridersled by Wang Wei Cheng (Tosh Zhang)


There are several sub-plot, such as Wang and Mikey's love triangle with hip-hop dancer- He Xiao Yu (Eva Cheng). She is definitely an eye candy for every guys watching the movie. You also get to watch a fairly long on-screen kiss between Eva with Tosh. It was said to be their first on screen kissing.

Another great contribution to this movie, I think is Chen Tian Wen who plays as the troupe's leader Master He. He is good at his comedic role. I still remember one of the scene he said " 梅花桩有什么好怕的 有些人没化妆才可怕".

To be honest, it was when i saw my friend Stanley give the most touching proposal on coronation night.
