What to expect this year?
This year, the Singapore Blog Awards returns with more exciting events and prizes. Other than a custom-made trophy designed by famous artist, Mr Tan Swie Hian, bloggers will also stand to win a trip to Melbourne, Australia, inclusive of air tickets and accommodation and other attractive prizes. In total, over $30,000 worth of prizes awaits participating bloggers including HTC phones, Asus laptop and more. Participating bloggers will also receive exclusive invitations to sponsors' events such as the movie premiere of Kungfu Panda 2.

This year, the ten main categories of the Awards have been adjusted to reflect the developments in the Singapore social media scene.

The ten main award categories this year include six from last years' list of categories, namely "Best Photography Blog", "Domino's Best Food Blog", "GYSB Best Lifestyle Blog", "Best WTH blog", "Best Individual Blog" and "Best Y Bloggist", and we have added in four new categories, "Best Family Blog", "Best Fashion Blog", "Best Travel Blog" and "Best Social Media Integrated Blog".

Adding to the excitement are fringe awards in partnership with HTC which are determined entirely by public voting. They are the "HTC Most Popular Local Celebrity Blog/Microblog" and "HTC Most Popular Overseas Celebrity Blog/Microblog". There will be no prizes given to the fringe award winners, but voters stand to win attractive prizes.

This year's Awards also see a whole new range of sponsored categories, specially catered to the growing community of niche bloggers. These include "HTC Best Mobile Blog", "Deal.com.sg Best Shopping Blog", "Asus Best Tech Blog " and "Adonis Best Beauty Blog".

Who are the sponsors?
