Meet 53A
53A will be at *Scape around 7.45pm too. 53A is made of four musicians with diverse styles and rich musical backgrounds, and is known for its tantalizing brew of pop and rock with a spoonful of lunacy that puts a unique 53A brand on each and every song the band covers. The band started with just Alvin and Sara, who jammed together in the dusty attic of a shop along Haji Lane, the unit number of which became the inspiration for the band’s name – 53A. The duo went on to perform together in the ‘live’ music scene for nearly six years before roping in friends Hidir and Irwan to complete their line-up, when the offer to play regularly at Timbre came up.
