Win a once-in-a-lifetime staycation at the Esplanade for you and 3 loved ones + NDP tickets at Padang!

SG50 Partners with Airbnb and Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay to Host
an Experience of a Lifetime

Esplanade Theatre transformed into a dream staycation venue for the Jubilee Weekend

SG50 launched an online search for the country’s most passionate fan. Titled “SG50’s Biggest Fan”, the contest will reward one lucky winner and 3 loved ones with an experience of a lifetime – a 1 night Airbnb staycation at the Esplanade Theatre stage and four tickets to the National Day Parade over the Jubilee Weekend.

Leveraging Airbnb’s expertise at providing unique experiences, the Esplanade Theatre stage will be transformed into a home. Styled to the theme “A Night through Time”, the home will remind its guests of 1960s Singapore, in all its elegance and simplicity.

The winner and their loved ones will enjoy a programme that includes learning basic joget steps in traditional Peranakan costumes from the Main Wayang Company, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Esplanade. They will also enjoy a culinary experience in the evening at Esplanade’s rooftop restaurant. The 2-day 1-night Esplanade experience will then culminate in four coveted seats at the 2015 National Day Parade.

How to take part:
To qualify for a chance to win, contestants will need to submit a short video, up to 15 seconds, wishing Singapore a happy birthday. The most creative video contribution will be selected and the results will be announced on the SG50 Facebook Page on 5 August 2015.

Contest details and instructions are available at apps.facebook.com/sgfiftybiggestfan. For information on the Airbnb listing and the programme for the evening, please visit www.airbnb.com/SG50biggestfan.

“This August, as we come together as one in celebration of Singapore’s 50th birthday, we also look forward to hosting SG50’s biggest fan – our first overnight guests – at the Esplanade Theatre. As we welcome them into their abode for the two days, we hope that they will encounter not just the joy of the arts, but also a comfortable and warm experience, just like being in their own home. With the National Day Parade taking place at the neighbouring Padang, they will be able to soak in the atmosphere of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee celebrations at Esplanade with arts performances and activities by our very talented Singapore artists,” said Racel Yee, Head, Service Delivery & Standards, The Esplanade Co Ltd.

“Airbnb has unlocked millions of magical, unique hospitality experiences around the world and this staycation is going to be no exception. We are thrilled to be part of this event and reward Singapore’s biggest fan with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the city in a wholly new light. Turning a Singapore landmark like Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay into a home for one night is a true testament to how ambitious dreams can become reality in Singapore. What a great way to celebrate this momentous birthday together,” said Chai Jia Jih, Managing Director, Southeast Asia and India, Airbnb.
