Cooking with mum...

Yesterday me and my mum decide to use part of the ingredients

from the hamper to make "Pen Cai" 盆菜!

The Ceramic Reunion Claypot from the hamper is just the right size for making the "Pen Cai" for 6-10pax!

This is the 1st time cooking this dish with my mum at home!

We used the ingredients from the hamper and also added some other ingredients (Prawn, Roasted Pork, Sea Cucumber, Broccoli, White Raddish and carrot) we bought from the market.

For the gravy, we used New Moon Eight Treasures Soup, Oyster Sauce, Hua Diao Wine, Salt, Sesame Oil and Pepper.

I did the display myself. How do you all find it?

Though the display may not be as nice as you can find from the restaurant outside.

But I had fun cooking and decorating the "Pen Cai" with my mum.

And personally I think nothing taste as delicious as a "Pen Cai" made with love!

1) During your entire time of Mr World Singapore 2022 from the time you auditioned till you won the title, tell us - what was the most overwhelming moment for you? Personally, as the grand final day drew nearer, and diet and water had to be stricter, it was hard trying to keep up with the nutrition portion as well as the rest and recovery portion. Aside from that, i was starting to feel a little more anxious that i should and a huge part of it was because i invited my mother to be part of the audience and i wanted the event to be memorable for her. To be honest, it was when i saw my friend Stanley give the most touching proposal on coronation night. The prep process was pretty vigorous nearing towards the end, as there were many events to go for and practices to attend.
